Guides

I have been a section hiker for 5 years now and have found a new passion on the trail. I must tell you that your guide books and maps far exceed any I have used.

S. Sauro

PATC Guidebooks are the definitive references to the backcountry in the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S. In many cases, PATC wrote, produced, and published the first guides ever to appear on store shelves. Since the first editions appeared, authors have progressively built on the information in each book to produce the guides that are available today, continuing a tradition that started in the late 1920's.

You might have had trouble finding some of the more popular guidebooks in our series in your local outdoor shops - but not anymore. All our guides are available here, and ready to order. Perhaps there are a few you didn't even know existed. Please take a moment to fully scan our list.

To round out the offerings in our guidebook section, we also offer guides to other popular areas in our region. While these guides are not published by PATC, they do offer the best source of information in their respective areas.
