Tuscarora Trail (from Hancock, MD to Capon Springs, WV) and Cacapon State Park, WV Edition 3, 2004 This map highlights Sections 11 through 16 (72 miles) of the Tuscarora Trail as described in the Tuscarora Trail Guide (South Half). It also includes hiking opportunities in Sleepy Creek Wildlife Management Area (WV) and Cacapon State Park (WV). An enlargement of Cacapon Resort State Park shows locations of rental cabins, picnic areas, lodge, stables, and beach areas. Printed on water-resistant, tear-resistance synthetic stock in 5 colors. Scale 1:100,000. Contour interval 20 meters. Notes on this Edition: The 2004 edition was the most improved map of any PATC map revised in the last 5 years. This revision adds about 12-miles of hiking trails; changes how State land parcels are symbolized; shows the recent 7-mile relocation of the Tuscarora Trail from WV Route 7/13 southward to VA Route 690 near Siler, VA.; shows a corresponding change in the Tuscarora Trail elevation profile; shows the recently constructed Shockeys Knob Shelter; add the location of 3 PATC-constructed primitive campsites; and, adds 7 large-scale enlargements (printed on the back side) to better illustrate the more complex areas that could not be adequately portrayed on the main map due to limitations of the 1:100,000 scale.
