Map H. Massanutten Mountain-South Half (George Washington National Forest, VA and WV, US-211 southward to US-33) Edition 4, 2004 This map covers the narrow mountain ridge extending from New Market Gap (US-211) to the Massanutten Ski Resort area on the southern edge. There are about 28 miles of trails in this portion of George Washington National Forest. Printed on water-resistant, tear-resistance synthetic stock in 6 colors. Scale 1:62,500. Contour interval 100 feet. While the south half of the mountain range is visited less than the north half, there are some exceptionally beautiful areas in this region. This map is GPS compatible due to portrayal of UTM grid lines on the NAD-83 datum. Notes on this Edition: The 2004 edition shows a more accurate location of about 7-miles of various trails based on recent ground surveys.
